Invisible Friend

Once I had an invisible friend.
Suki was his name.
He was my companion constantly,
And I was not so lonely.

Then I made some real friends.
With conventional names.
Suki came less frequently,
And I was seldom lonely.

One day I made friends with myself.
I became comfortable with me.
Now I see old Suki rarely,
In the family album, only.

William's Whimsical Words:

Distant friends and deceased family can be a great comfort, but they do not take the place of new friends and current family.
