Our Noble Leader
Our president today used part of his Veterans Day radio broadcast to defend his Iraq war. Excuse me, Mr. President, but I thought the purpose of Veterans Day was to honor those who had served the country honorably in the Armed Forces, and pay tribute to their sacrifices. As a veteran, I resent your using this occasion to justify an unnecessary and immoral war that has cost the lives of thousands of my comrades.
If in future, Mr. President, you intend to feed more of this stuff to me and my fellow citizens, veterans or no, please choose another day to do it on. May I suggest April 1?
William's Whimsical Words:
Perhaps if the President was a veteran, like his father, he would have more respect for us.
