Democracy Is Untidy

Hsndicapped voter at polls in St. Louis, Missouri

If you voted today, welcome to our democracy. It matters not to william who you voted for. It matters greatly that you did.

Voter Colley proudly stands outside Marathon, NY, polling place

If you failed to make it to the polls because there was not time, or because your vote would not have made a difference, or because a bear ate your sample ballot, shame on you. It matters not to william what lame excuse you relied on. It may be that you will have the government you deserve; it is certain that you will live with the government that some of your neighbors chose for you until the next election.

If you do not care about our country or who governs it, as our Esteemed Vice President famously said on the floor of the US Senate, "Go f__k yourself."* You do not deserve to live in the greatest nation.

William's Whimsical Words:

* and, the horse you rode in on.
