It Doesn't Matter

Most trial lawyers, and almost all skeptics would agree that the truth doesn't matter; it is what you can prove that matters. Before you react viscerally to this statement as being overly cynical, ask yourself why the term "spin doctor" had entered our lexicon, why so many politicians are trained in the law, and why the drug companies spend so much of their obscenely high profits on lobbying and advertising instead of on research.
