Fixing Things

Children do not know how to fix things.
They take them apart and leave the pieces for adults to clean up.
They are not concerned with survival.

Teenagers can fix anything.
They take things apart and put them together again;
Sometimes the things survive.

Adults know if it ain't broke don't fix it.
They take things apart and put them together again when they have to;
Usually the things survive.

Silverbacks know if it is broke, but doesn't hurt, don't fix it.
If it is broke, and causes pain, they reluctantly fix it;
Sometimes they survive.

Elderly folk seldom fix anything, even if it hurts a bit.
If they can't stand the pain, they get someone else to fix it;
They have already survived.

William's Whimsical Words:

Survival is a necessary precondition for most people and many things.
