Tweedledumb and Tweedledee
Zebari and al-Maliki
Seemed to have a battle;
For Zebari said al-Maliki
Had engaged in idle prattle.
Just then blew up an IED,
Accompanied by a gun-barrel;
Which frightened both the heroes so,
They quite forgot their quarrel.
According to reports in the press:
Iraq has no timetable for taking responsibility for its own security, said Foreign Minister Hoshiyar Zebari on October 31, 2006.
"I don't have any timetable for that but definitely the Iraqi military and police are gaining more and more control," he told Portuguese state radio RDP.
Mr. Zebari's comments came as the number of US military personnel killed in Iraq in October hit 105, making it one of the four bloodiest months since the March 2003 invasion.
Nuri al-Maliki, Iraqi prime minister, said last week from the relative safety of the Green Zone that Iraq could probably ensure its own security in six months if the United States gave Iraqi police and soldiers more training, arms, and control over their own operations.
William's Whimsical Words:
Isn't it time we stopped spilling US blood trying to referee the Iraq Civil War?
