Thurgood Marshall
[1967 - Thurgood Marshall sworn in as
first African-American Supreme Court justice]

Old Mother Hubbard

Our President Bush
Went to the Congress
To throw his rich cronies a bone;
But when we came there
The cupboard was bare,
And so the poor people had none.

He took a clean dish
To feed us some tripe;
And when he came back
Some swallowed the hype.

He went over to Baghdad
To buy the troops bread;
But when he came back
Some poor lads were dead.

He went to the undertaker
To buy them some coffins;
But someone got pictures
And no one was laughing.

flag-draped coffins
He went to the UN
To get a mandate;
But when he came back
Kofi said it's too late.

Tony Blair made a curtsey,
George Bush made a bow;
The dame said, "Your servant."
The dog said, "Bow wow."
